Locally owned and operated in the Pacific Northwest

Our company is led by Patrick Michener, an experienced HVAC professional passionate about helping people find reliable, cost-effective heating and cooling solutions.

Patrick’s career in the heating and cooling industry spans over 25 years, during which he built a reputation for technical expertise, problem-solving, and a commitment to customer satisfaction. He started his career working hands-on with HVAC installations and repairs, gaining deep knowledge of residential and commercial heating and cooling systems.

The company’s roots trace back to NW Gas Lines, founded by Tony Young, a specialist in gas line installation. In 2018, Patrick partnered with Tony to expand services beyond gas lines and create NW Performance Heating and Cooling, a full-service HVAC and gas line installation company serving the greater Portland, OR, and Southwest Washington region.

What began as a one-person operation has grown into a trusted team of certified technicians and dedicated office staff, all focused on delivering exceptional HVAC service to homeowners and businesses across the region.

I have worked with NW Performance Heating & Cooling for the last few years, both personally with my own home and professionally in business. I know I don't need to worry about them ripping me off, as I know the company has integrity and have seen it proven time and time again. I am grateful to have a great HVAC company to refer, even to my friends. It's great to have this level of trust on such an important system in our home. I have worked with Patrick, Ryan, & Alex, all at different times and they all are wonderful. Diana in the office has been great to work with, too. If you need any part of your HVAC system repaired, maintained, or even updated, call this company because they will do it right, and stand by their work. Thank you for all you have done for my own household & clients. I do appreciate you, very much.

I’ve been very pleased with all aspects of this company from the service, to estimate requests for my clients, to their install crews. As a local realtor in SW, I need to have reliable, affordable and honest contractors to work with. NW Performance is my go to! They exceed my expectations and standards every time. I highly recommend this company. They have a wealth of knowledge that goes back decades. They stand behind their work. Best in the biz. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I have had excellent experiences numerous times.
They answer their phones and they are on time when they come out for service.
I have purchased a whole new system for my home and am very pleased with the energy efficiency of the system. My house is nice and cozy in the winter and cool in the summer. Highly efficient system.
The install was very clean and there was no messes left from them during install. Professional service and new installs.

Ryan came out and serviced my furnace and Heat Pump in Redmond. He was very thorough, punctual, did a nice job and didn't try to sell me stuff I didn't need which i very much appreciate. He explained to me in simple terms what my system was doing, how old it was, and how it was performing. I found my new HVAC service company!

This place is the real deal. They are an actual company, not a marketing company posing as an HVAC company. Got several quotes, and these guys were the only ones with a straight-forward & honest bid (the rest were double the price and full of "freebies", service subscriptions, and other things I did not need or want). Owner came by to do the estimate, got the bid next day, AC installed two weeks later. Awesome. Only place I will recommend. Thanks Pat.
